Free SharePoint, SPFx & Power Platform Developer Tools
Browser-based utilities for Microsoft 365 developers — no sign-up, no install.
These 14 tools exist because the same small jobs kept interrupting real project work: a column format that will not validate, a CAML query that returns nothing, an HTML table that Outlook mangles, a Graph permission nobody can name. Each one does a single job, runs entirely in your browser — nothing you paste is uploaded or stored — and produces something you can copy straight into SharePoint, Power Automate, a PowerShell session or an app registration. They are grouped below by the job in hand.
Configure SharePoint without writing code
Most SharePoint customisation is declarative JSON or XML that is easy to get slightly wrong and painful to debug in the browser. These tools produce the artefact you paste into SharePoint — a column format, a CAML view query, a REST URL, a site script — with the syntax already valid, so the only thing left to check is whether it does what you meant. The permission matrix is the odd one out: it generates nothing for SharePoint, it generates the document you show the business owner before you break inheritance on a library.
JSON Column Formatter
Write, validate, and preview SharePoint JSON column formatting — with built-in templates and a live preview.
Open Tool →CAML Query Builder
Construct XML CAML Queries visually for SharePoint REST APIs, PnP JS, CSOM, or SPFx. Add conditions, select fields, and generate the raw XML.
Open Tool →REST API Builder
Build SharePoint REST API URLs visually — pick operations, add OData filters, and get code snippets in JavaScript, PnPjs, and PowerShell.
Open Tool →Site Script Generator
Build SharePoint site scripts visually — add provisioning actions and export JSON with PowerShell deployment commands.
Open Tool →Permission Matrix Generator
Visualize and generate SharePoint permission matrices across sites, libraries, and lists. Export as CSV or Markdown for audits and compliance.
Open Tool →Script tenant administration
When the change has to be repeatable across sites or tenants, the answer is PnP PowerShell. The generator writes the connect-and-run scaffold for the common admin jobs — provisioning, bulk permission changes, library settings — so the cmdlet names and parameters are right the first time and you only edit the values. Pair it with the GUID generator when a manifest, solution or app registration needs a fresh identifier.
Build Power Automate flows that behave
Power Automate problems are rarely the connector; they are the expression inside it. The expressions tool is a searchable reference of the Workflow Definition Language functions with working examples for the ones that trip people up — formatDateTime, the collection functions, null handling. The HTML table styler fixes the second most common complaint: the Create HTML Table action produces an unstyled table that looks wrong in Outlook, and it writes the inline CSS Outlook will actually honour. Adaptive Cards are the third piece: the generator drafts the card JSON for Teams approvals and notifications so you start from something that renders.
Power Automate Expressions
Browse, search, and copy Power Automate expressions — with syntax, examples, and usage tips for every function.
Open Tool →Power Automate HTML Table Styler
Style SharePoint lists and Dataverse tables exported from Power Automate. Generate CSS for the "Create HTML table" action visually.
Open Tool →Adaptive Card AI Generator
Build and preview Adaptive Cards visually with JSON templates optimized for SPFx Viva Connections ACEs.
Open Tool →Work with Microsoft Graph and design the solution
Before an app registration exists you often need to know which Graph endpoint returns what, and which permission it needs. The explorer answers that from a static reference without signing in. The architecture canvas is for the step before that: laying out which M365 services a solution touches and how they connect, so the diagram in the design review matches the permissions you then request.
Graph API Explorer Lite
An interactive, no-auth sandbox to explore popular Microsoft Graph API endpoints. Instantly view required permissions and realistic mock JSON responses.
Open Tool →M365 Architecture Canvas
Design Microsoft 365 architectures visually. Drag and drop SharePoint, Teams, and Power Platform components to generate a structured markdown document.
Open Tool →Troubleshoot and keep sharp
The error decoder turns a hex code, an AADSTS number or a pasted run log into the cause and the fix, backed by a catalogue of the errors that generate most SharePoint and Power Platform support tickets. The challenge mode is the opposite direction: a 10-question round drawn from a bank of real-world M365 development scenarios, with an explanation for every answer, useful as a warm-up for MS-600 or PL-400 study.
SharePoint & Power Platform Error Decoder
Paste cryptic Microsoft 365 error codes or logs (like 0x80070005) to get instant human-readable translations, root causes, and fixes.
Open Tool →M365 Challenge Mode
Test your Microsoft 365, SharePoint, and Power Platform knowledge with this gamified developer quiz. Review detailed explanations after you finish!
